GPS® is committed to staying on the cutting edge of indoor air quality with science and responsible innovation in the lead.

We attended the 2022 International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) in Las Vegas, Nevada, in late January.

Sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI, the AHR Expo is a unique forum that brings together engineers, contractors, technicians, facility operators, architects and educators in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) field.

This year, we not only had the chance to share information about our air-cleaning needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI™) products with colleagues and consumers, but we also had the privilege to interact with and learn from other industry leaders.

Here are some highlights from our three days at the AHR Expo.

Innovative HVACR Technologies and Products

We met with other companies, engineers and innovators who are inventing the future of HVACR. Manufacturers and suppliers from around the world unveiled new products, answered questions and provided technical support.

In turn, we also had the opportunity to unveil our newest NPBI ionization system, the DM-2™, and an innovative duct-mounted saddle accessory, DM-S™. The downstream design of this system provides optimal ionization, and the key-turn accessory simplifies installation on round ducts.

Shared Commitment to Indoor Air Quality

The AHR Expo was busy in the best sense of the word. Each day, from the time the trade show floor opened to its final moments, the GPS booth was packed with people who, like our team at GPS, are interested in and passionate about improving indoor air quality.

GPS has put in the hard but necessary work on the science and testing. Our experts have been diligently working, often behind the scenes, to materially move forward on these fronts. Being able to share the results of that work and other good news was extremely gratifying.

Seeing others’ reactions to our new products and technologies affirmed that we’re not only raising the bar for indoor air quality but also delivering on what our customers want and need. That is always great and gratifying to see first-hand that our hard work is having a positive impact.

Personal Connections

It was great being able to reconnect in person with so many of our colleagues, partners and peers. The last two years have been challenging for everyone, especially when it comes to face-to-face interactions.

It’s no secret that both company and career success are built on personal relationships. The AHR Expo brought us face-to-face with the entire spectrum of HVACR industry professionals. We’re excited about maintaining and growing existing relationships while opening doors to new ones.

Professional Engagement

Beyond the booth, GPS employees participated in numerous ASHRAE committee meetings. We’re fully engaged, actively advocating for standards and more that support responsible innovation and the greater public good for a technology that is making a positive difference where life happens.

Fun and Rewarding Experience

Finally, but certainly not least, the 2022 AHR Expo was a fun and rewarding experience. We hosted a customer event one evening, and it was terrific having the opportunity to celebrate with the folks who make our success possible and the future for everyone bright.

We encourage anyone in the industry to consider attending a future event. We are already looking forward to attending next year’s AHR Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, and we hope to see you there.
